Treatment

Pressure point massage and release of trigger points

Treatment of neckThis very quickly and effectively releases the muscular component of the injured tissues, generating a sense of well-being and relaxation.

Manipulation

This is applied to different levels of the spine and at different depths, depending on the patient. Some very tight-jointed people require quite some force to mobilise their joints effectively, while the very young, the supple and the elderly require only the lightest of adjustments to be effective.

Cranial Osteopathy

This is a very gentle technique applied to the head and sacrum (or tailbone), aiming to mobilise the injured tissues so gently that the body’s defences are not activated. It is used on most of my patients to settle their tissues into a state of relaxation at the end of the treatment, and is the treatment of choice for infants and young children.

Myofascial release techniques

This is also a very gentle part of the treatment applied to most patients, aiming to gently mobilise and release any tension or strain patterns held in the body that have not fully released with other aspects of the treatment.
